Yes the sun is out ! We are having fun in the cool woods watching butterflies in the meadows , picking berries and keeping cool under the trees. I now have a personalized bag presented to me from a school I did Forest school at. Come and share the fun Chevin Discovery day on 31st JULY . Holiday club Chevin......
The children this year had another excellent Holiday club on the Chevin with Amanda Panda and her helpers. The favourite activity was the huge cargo net and archery. We also went pond dipping and found lots of fish, froglets and pond snails.
Stone age day with Askwith Primary school- the Chevin
We did some map reading finding the ancient animals. Then we made shelters and tried not to get wet under them. Then the children made mini spears, stone painting and charcoal drawing. Lastly we cooked bannock bread and sausages on the fire. the teacher Miss Fox said ,
’ It really was a fantastic day - you were so well organised and the activities were brilliant’
