The children had fun on the Chevin. We went pond dipping and found 4 sticklebacks. Thhen the children unted for lots of insects in the bilberry bushes. The cildren found 2 different caterpillar, a slug and ground beetle. The children enjoyed the challange of climbing up a hill with a rope.
Hetchell Woods Forest School
We have a fabulous time climbing, making and creating faces on the trees in Hetchell Woods near Wetherby. They familes and Daisy the dog joined in.
Survival Day at Richmond Hill Academy
The year 4 pupils enjoyed learning about what to take with you in a rucksack in case you get stranded on an island. They are reading ‘Wild Robot’ which is a story about surviving in the wild. Amanda Panda from Chevin Forest School shared some first hand experiences of den building, fire making and whittling.
